Healthy children are happy children
We are working with the Healthy Early Years Partnership team, a scheme supported and endorsed by the boroughs of Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea, and Westminster. The scheme recognises early years providers who take a whole setting approach to health and well being, including: promoting physical development; nutrition; oral health; emotional well being; safety and immunisation. Having achieved our Bronze Award in December 2017, we are working towards our Silver and Gold Awards.
The benefits of childhood nutrition are enormous; a nutritious diet provides your child with good eating habits for life, healthy skin, a healthy weight and improved behaviour.
We provide nutritionally balanced and home-cooked meals. Our menus are designed by the nursery chef and a paediatric dietician to meet the needs of each age group. We ensure that all of the children receive the recommended daily allowance of protein, carbohydrates, healthy fats and fresh fruit and vegetables. Our recipes are made fresh with whole foods such as whole grain pastas, rice and bread, fruit and vegetables, dark leafy greens and legumes.
We stay away from refined and processed foods. Whole foods provide the children with the vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that they need to grow up healthy, happy and strong.
We cater for all allergies, intolerances, preferences, cultural and dietary needs.
Our nursery chef
Ana, our nursery chef is qualified in Early Years Nutrition. She is passionate about preparing healthy and delicious food for our children and loves to see them enjoying the meals she has prepared. Ana is working with the rest of the team and the Healthy Early Years partnership to promote a whole setting approach to health and well being.
